Mentorship
Mentorship is for people who want an ongoing container for practice, reflection, accountability, and change.
This can support a clear life transition or simply the sense that something is ready to move. We build a rhythm that keeps the work connected to daily life so insight does not become another beautiful thing we forget by Tuesday.
The resources for meaningful change are not imported from somewhere else. Good mentorship helps us notice, strengthen, and work skillfully with what is already here.
COACHING & MENTORSHIP
We are all unique individuals walking our own strange path of self-discovery.
Sometimes we need a mirror. Sometimes a map. Sometimes someone in our corner who can listen well, ask provoking questions, and lovingly call us on our nonsense.
Whether you’re feeling stuck or craving more from life, redefining goals, rebuilding your relationship with your body, integrating a transformational experience, or exploring spiritual questions, our work is shaped around you — your history, your needs, your pace, and the life you are actually living.
My approach is interdisciplinary, practical, and non-dogmatic. We may draw from movement, mindfulness, somatics, emotional inquiry, communication, nutrition and lifestyle practices, spiritual inquiry, ritual, and integration work. I draw from my study and work with Amazonian, Andean & Native American wisdom keepers, Tibetan Monks & Master yogis, mystics & healers to creatively and impactfully make lasting change.
I believe that we all have the capacity to learn, heal and grow. Through the lens of Earth-based wisdom, scientific research and practical experience, the work we do together is holistic — body, emotions, mind & spirit. The point is not to make you more like me. It is to help you listen more clearly to yourself, strengthen your own agency, and turn insight into lived change.
Experience
I’ve spent more than 25 years exploring movement, more than 15 years teaching, and more than 25 years studying and working with Earth-based and entheogenic ceremonial traditions. I’ve supported more than 1,500 people through preparation, immersive experiences, movement, mentorship, and integration.
My teachers have come from many places — movement traditions, contemplative practices, Indigenous and Earth-based lineages, modern research, artists, healers, elders, friends, plants, animals, fungus, mistakes, the body, and life itself.
I bring experience, attention, curiosity, and care. You bring the one thing I can never replace: your own inner knowing.

Mindfulness is noticing what is happening while it is happening. Through meditation, breath, sensory awareness, movement, and everyday attention, we strengthen the ability to observe thoughts, feelings, and impulses without immediately becoming them. More awareness creates more choice.
-
Sometimes the profound work is breakfast, sleep, water, sunlight, walking, time outside, fewer inputs, and a kitchen that actually supports the way you want to live. Together we can look at what is nourishing, what is depleting, and what realistic changes would support greater steadiness and vitality.
Cleansing and detoxing in the modern age is crucial for overall well-being as well. From food-based cleanses to parasite detoxification, heavy metal cleansing to fasting we will customize a safe and methodical approach for your specific needs. Cleansing helps us to have more energy, achieve optimal weight, rest well and feel better overall.

Spiritual life can be intimate, confusing, beautiful, destabilizing, ordinary, and mysterious — often at the same time. This is a place to bring questions about practice, meaning, ritual, prayer, ceremony, belief, doubt, and the lived experience of spirit without needing to force any particular worldview.
We take an interdisciplinary, non-authoritarian and non-dogmatic approach toward connecting with spirit, the universe, yourself and the world. Through a practical and ritualistic way, we focus on developing purpose & meaning for a more spirited life. This self-inquiry will awaken your inner wisdom and connect you with your truth.

Leadership is not only what happens at work. It is how we affect rooms, relationships, families, teams, communities, and culture. We explore attention, communication, responsibility, emotional range, boundaries, presence, and the kind of impact you actually want to have.
We will work to become more compassionate, effective and resilient.

When treated with respect & reverence psychedelics can offer the potential for profound life-changing experiences.
The work does not begin when the ceremony starts or end when it is over. I support people before, around, and after entheogenic experiences with preparation, discernment, grounding, meaning-making, and integration.
The emphasis is responsibility, reverence, embodiment, and translating insight into how you actually live.
-
Clarify what matters, notice patterns that keep repeating, and build practices that turn insight into action. This can include values, habits, accountability, life transitions, creativity, relationships, purpose, and the practical next steps that help change become lived and embodied rather than merely understood.
-
Develop a more intelligent relationship with your body through adaptable movement. We can work with mobility, balance, coordination, strength, breathing, locomotion, and everyday movement skills — with an emphasis on confidence, resilience, and sustainable practice.
-
Emotions carry information. Rather than suppressing, dramatizing, or trying to “fix” them, we practice meeting them with enough awareness and steadiness to learn what they are asking of us.
These gifts of sensation can be exhilarating & joyous and/or completely overwhelming & debilitating — and anywhere in between. The focus of our work together is to develop healthy relationships with our emotions, feel more connected to ourselves and live with creative dynamism.
-
Learning how to communicate effectively is crucial for the health of our relationships. Saying what you mean and meaning what you say is an art & practice that takes discipline, patience and self-reflection. Listening is a skill that invites us into the present moment because it enhances connection, fosters empathy and promotes understanding.
Clear communication begins with clearer contact with ourselves. We work with listening, boundaries, requests, conflict, honesty, and the difference between reacting automatically and responding with intention.
-
The shadow includes the parts of ourselves we avoid, deny, hide, or have not yet learned how to integrate. The invitation is to meet those patterns with curiosity, responsibility, and compassion — not to indulge them, but to bring more of ourselves into conscious relationship. We will boldly & bravely enter our shadow to alchemize, heal and liberate.
“Julian DeVoe brings practical advice to those seeking to follow a spiritual path. His effort made me see that small changes in my daily routine could have a big impact on my outlook and, therefore, on my spiritual progress. Julian may very well believe in miracles, but the miracles he works are about changing the things that hold us back from being our true selves. My experience working with him was outstanding, and his guidance has had a lasting impact on me. Anyone who is seeking a better way forward couldn’t find a better guide than Julian.”
